a non picture update

My 8.5 month old took assisted steps yesterday, what is happening? He's constantly getting into a downward dog position and taking steps, but doesn't pull himself up on anything yet. He crawls mostly by worming, although he does get on all 4 often. In other news, the girls are 2!
